What's Happening with the Winsteads

Almost 9 months old!

It has gone from Summer to Winter in Newnan over the past week! Josh and I quickly realized, when the temperature didn't reach above 50 for several days that Annie Glenn was in need of some warm clothes! Thanks to trips to Babies R Us, Target, and WalMart our fashionista is ready for even the coldest of days. She has every warn and cuddly fleece top, pants, and PJs in Newnan and PTC and looks absolutely precious in them all!

Since we last blogged Annie Glenn has become very mobile! She is crawling faster than we can walk, and is pulling up and walking around the furniture as well as going up and over anything in her way. We have our own little Mountain Goat on our hands! She is also talking quite a bit with her favorite words being, "MaMa", "DaDa", "DogDog", and then a hilarious growl! Annie Glenn is going to be a lamb for Halloween and Josh and I have been working hard to get her to say 'Baa', however we have realized that we will have the first growling lamb, as this is what she does in return. We have fallen in love with her sweet voice and find her mimicking us all of the time. She really sounds exactly like us sometimes! She continues to be perfect to us and we cannot believe that she is almost 9 months old!

God has truly blessed our lives with such a healthy and vibrant little girl. She is constantly smiling, eats well, plays hard, and sleeps well. Life is so good! This week is birthday week for us Davis's with three birthdays in five days, so we are gearing up top share these special days as well as Halloween with Annie Glenn. She still looks like us both, it is so funny to hear peoples opinion! I have found that it depends on who is holding her, but I have to say she looks a lot like her Daddy. We are praying that she will at least act like her Mama!

We are loving each day with our adventurous little love bug and cannot seem to get enough of her. We can't wait until Halloween for pumpkin pictures and pictures of the first growling lamb!

It has been a while...

Life has gotten a lot busier for us since the beginning of school. Josh and I are still managing working out the details of two working parents and a growing little girl. Since we last blogged Annie Glenn has turned 6 and 7 months! She is weighing in at 20lbs. and is crawling and pulling up on anything and everything. No table, magazine, or book is safe! She is amazing to watch and I swear that tonight she started saying MaMa, although Josh thinks that he hears her saying I love my Daddy. She is just growing too fast for us!

School for Annie Glenn is a blessing! She loves Miss Stacey and her little group of friends as much as we do! It is a huge relief to know that she is being well looked after and loved while we are away from her. In fact, Annie Glenn continues to sleep better for Miss Stacey than she does at home. She is eating like a little piggy too while is is at "school", which means I think we are about to have another growth spurt!

Every day Josh and I are amazed at her growth and how her sweet and sometimes sassy personality is developing. Josh and I are both loving work, and I must say that God has sent me the sweetest group of students this year. They are just too precious and make going to work each day a joy. Hopefully, we will not wait as long to blog again...but these days you just never know! We love you all and hope that you enjoy the pictures of our sweet Annie Glenn.

Annie Glenn's first visit to the Beach!

On July 11th at 6am we left Newnan on the way to the beach for Annie Glenn's first beach trip. You should have seen the bed of Josh's truck. Not even an ant could have hitched a ride with us. We had more than we needed for Annie Glenn's first beach trip! Annie Glenn was perfect in the car, sleeping for almost the first four hours! We arrived at the beach by lunchtime and hit the sand and pool soon after. Annie Glenn had everything she needed for the beach and pool thanks to Aunt Ashley and her floats, pools, and toys! We spend 10 days in paradise and enjoyed every minute of the time that we were there with our beach family.

Annie Glenn loved the pool and by the end of our trip liked the ocean, as long as she was safe in our arms. She loved our morning and late afternoon walks on the beach, but she especially liked all of the people who were constantly there to play with her! We took over 1,000 pictures of our family and friends and ate like kings and queens. We truly had an incredible trip! Josh and I just loved being able to introduce Annie Glenn to friends who are so important to our life, if it weren't for these special friends we would have never met!

As we have returned back to the "real" world we have realized how quickly the Summer has passed. Next week will be a huge week in the Winstead household as Annie Glenn will begin going to "school" every day with Miss Stacey while Josh and I return to work. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful place to take Annie Glenn each day and know that she will be loved by Miss Stacey and will taken care of....however I am not looking forward to not spending all day with Miss AG! Also next week Annie Glenn will turn 6 months old! We can't believe it! She has gotten so big and we are loving all of her new "tricks"! She still has no teeth, but not for a lack of chewing and will be crawling before long. Right now our favorite thing is that she will reach for Josh and I when she wants to be held. It just melts your heart! She continues to be the most precious blessing and we are humbled by God's trust in us daily.

Please pray for our family as school starts as it will be a difficult transition for us all. We hope that you enjoy all of the pictures and we will post again soon!

New Adventures with Annie Glenn

We have had so many new adventures over the past few weeks that it has been hard to keep up with "blogging". Annie Glenn has gone on her first boat ride, celebrated her first Daddy's Day, flown on an airplane, visited the zoo, celebrated the 4th of July, and has turned five months old! She is continuing to be full of life, personality, and energy. We also have visited Dr. Jackson and Annie Glenn continues to be "practically perfect in every way". She weighed 17 lbs. 10 oz. and was 27 inches long last week. So...she is still off the charts in weight and is in the 97% for height. Annie Glenn is starting to push up and kick her legs to start crawling, is rolling over both ways (from stomach to back and from back to stomach), and loves all of the veggies that we have fed her. Annie Glenn truly is the most precious blessing to our family and we are so blessed to have such a bright eyed and loving little angel.

We will be leaving on Saturday for another adventure as we g0 on our annual July beach trip. Annie Glenn has not had the chance to meet her beach family and we can't wait for them to spend time with her.

It's Summertime!

Summertime at the Winstead House....

It finally feels like Summer and our sweet family is loving every minute of it. Annie Glenn, Josh, and I have been enjoying grilling out for almost every meal, late evening walks, lightening bugs, watermelon, and friends. However, the best part is that all day long is Annie Glenn and Momma time, which is heaven on Earth. Annie Glenn is still as her Grandada (still no official name for my Dad, which is strange because he has a nickname for all of us) calls her "Credible Baby"...she has started eating baby food and so far loves squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots. She is eating one container of baby food a day a long with a little cereal for lunch or a late night snack. She has also realized that it is Summer, which means back to later bedtimes, but later mornings too! However, her most incredible new trick of all is sitting up. She is doing all by herself! It is CRAZY....she has no idea that she is only 4 months old! She still loves the exersaucer and thinks that Daisy and Rusty are great. She laughs and talks to them constantly, while trying to pet them. It is really precious. Also last week we broke out the inflatable pool and let Annie Glenn have her first dip. The leg and arm rolls were too precious for words and we realized quickly that we have a waterbug on our hands.

Besides just being in Newnan, over the past two weekends she have attended two weddings for our incredible friends, Bill and Julie, and Kelly and Chad. Annie Glenn was able to spend the night in Atlanta with Josh and I for Bill and Julie's wedding and even made a quick appearance at the reception which was just lovely. Josh and I continue to realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful friends. This weekend we will make our first trip to Lake Spivey to spend Father's Day with "my Dad's people". I cannot wait to take Annie Glenn on her first boat ride! Annie Glenn and I spend our mornings reading, and playing and our afternoons enjoying the sunny weather outside while we wait on our Daddy to come home, we are having a wonderful summer!

Almost 4 months

Annie Glenn will be 16 weeks old tomorrow and her Momma and Dadda can hardly believe it. She is growing so much and since we blogged last has learned so many new things. Annie Glenn is now a rolling pro! I even found her under the coffee table from being such a rolly-pollie. She is also working hard on sitting up by herself and is actually close to the big day when she can sit on her own. Her newest trick is trying to stand...this is all that she wants to do! It is hilarious to try and pull her up from a diaper change and she her lock those chubby legs and try to stand. She is so determined or either hard-headed....we have no clue where this trait came from :)! Miss Annie Glenn has also entered the wonderful world of rice cereal. She loves it and has since the first spoon hit her lips. She usually eats a bowl of cereal right before bath time, it has helped her to continue sleeping through the night.

Since our last blog we have had some exciting adventures in the Winstead household. We journeyed to Kentucky to visit Grandma and the rest of the Winstead gang for a long weekend. During the trip Annie Glenn decided that 6 hours in a car is really not for her, but we managed to make the trip there and home pretty smoothly thanks to a big backseat, a rattle, and Playhouse Disney CD. We had a great time visiting. We also have had two visits from our beach family, which has made the wait until July a little easier on us all. Annie Glenn especially enjoyed her visit from Riley over Memorial Day weekend. She loved watching him play. I think that we will be pulling them off the lifeguard stand in a few years! We can't wait to see them in the sand together this year! However, the biggest change is that I have returned to Elm Street to finish up the year with my precious 2nd graders. This was a huge transition for me, but thanks to Piggy we have all survived! I cannot wait for next week to be able to stay at home with Annie Glenn.

As you can see from the pictures Annie Glenn is getting bigger, prettier, and more alert each day. We continue to see how good God is through the laughter, smiles, and love that Annie Glenn brings to us.

3 months old

We just can't believe when people ask us how old Annie Glenn is and we have to say three months! That is just too old! In fact I don't know where the past 13 weeks have gone. We are having so much fun with Annie Glenn and she is starting to develop her own personality, which is adorable!

Miss Annie Glenn is know laughing out loud and rolling over. She is also trying to sit up in our laps without any help. We are hoping that she will be sitting up by the middle of Summer. She is continuing to sleep through the night and has developed a wonderful schedule of naps during the day. She is currently going to bed around 10:00 and then is ready to be up at 7 am, which is just perfect for our little family. We truly are blessed. In the pictures below you will notice that she is still not suffering in the weight department weighing in at a perfect 16 pounds. We are so blessed by her sweet nature and love of life. She is so smiley and happy, which is a joy to us all!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day and I can't wait for the summer to be here...Can you imagine these rolls in a bathing suit???I just can't wait until JULY and our annual beach trip.

Getting Bigger by the Day...

Annie Glenn is almost 3 months old and is getting bigger by the day. Last week we went to our two month check up and Miss Priss weighed 15 pounds....which by the way is off of the charts! She was 24 inches long and just absolutely perfect. Dr. Jackson was thrilled with her growth and could not believe how alert she was at such a young age!

We have had a few firsts since we last blogged which have included Annie Glenn's first birthday party for her friend Carter who turned one. Annie Glenn and Gordon both were invited and decided that parties for other babies were not their favorite. They cried and spent most of the party outside. Annie Glenn also tried her first bottle, which went great until she was supposed to take another bottle while we were visiting Elm Street. We have switched bottles and so far she is doing better, but we still have a long way to go. Annie Glenn also "walked" in her first 5K this past weekend and beat both of us by a stroller length! She was awesome the whole 3 miles. Her love of being outside is helping Josh and I to get into shape! And the best news of all is that Annie Glenn is laughing out loud and it is PRECIOUS! Josh was the first to get to hear her chuckle and since that first day she has been laughing more and more.

Annie Glenn still is the center of our world and is continuously bringing our sweet family so much joy. God's faithfulness and trust in Josh and I as parents is humbling as He has blessed us with the most perfect gift in Annie Glenn.

The Easter Bunny...

Since when did the Easter Bunny become equal to Santa Claus? This is what Annie Glenn's Daddy wondered as we looked at all of her new treasures on Sunday morning. The Easter Bunny left our little bunny a basket and chair full of gifts, not to mention the outfits and gifts that Piggy and Aunt Ashley also gave sweet Annie Glenn. Our first Easter was just perfect!

We have had a wonderful week with Annie Glenn. She is smiling more than ever and is constantly "talking" to us. We can tell that laughing out loud is just around the corner. Annie Glenn will go back to visit Dr. Jackson on Monday for her 2 month check up, which will be two weeks late. I cannot wait to see how much she has grown.

Annie Glenn's past two weeks

Annie Glenn had had an exciting past two weeks. Last Friday we packed, packed, and packed the car and headed on our first long car ride to visit Annie Glenn's great-grandmother in Kentucky. We had a wonderful trip there and back with our sweet little girl. She slept most of the way and was an angel meeting all of her family members in Kentucky. When we arrived home we started to prepare for Josh's family to visit us this weekend for Annie Glenn's christening. Josh and I were a little worried as the pollen has made Annie Glenn congested, but she was as sweet as could be as we stood in front of the church today. Josh and I were so honored to have all of our family members with us as we presented Annie Glenn to the church.

We continue to be blessed with our chunky bundle of joy....who is now 13 pounds and 13 ounces and is over 24 inches long. We cannot imagine what life would be like with out her here with us and are continuously amazed at God's perfect gift to us. We hope that you enjoy the pictures below!

Today Annie Glenn turned 6 weeks old! Josh and I cannot believe how quickly six weeks can fly by and how much one little angel can change your life. Annie Glenn is now 23 inches long and weighs a whopping 13lbs! She is cooing constantly and is no longer content laying down. This little lady wants to be up and moving! She loves being outside and has even gotten to ride in her big girl umbrella stroller and LOVES it. We have been blessed with another week of good sleeping and now are just working on moving her bedtime to before midnight. She is just precious and we are totally in love.

Another week... another boyfriend is born!

This week we were once again blessed by the birth of Harris, another friend for Annie Glenn. We traveled to the hospital to meet Harris's family and were shocked at how big our sweet little girl looked compared to Harris! She doesn't look like a tiny baby any more! Harris and Gordon have some catching up to do in order to be as "sturdy" as Miss Annie Glenn. Josh and I feel so blessed to have such close friends to share our newest joys with....God has richly blessed all of us with healthy and beautiful children.

Our week with Annie Glenn was another wonderful one. The weather this week was prefect for walks and our little family enjoyed walking just about everyday. Annie Glenn is continuing to grow and at our last check weighs 12 pounds 2 ounces! She is absolutely precious and is getting so chubby! It seems like each day she is "talking" more to us and is more and more alert. She is now sleeping in her room, instead of in the bassinet by our bed. I think this was a bigger transition for her Mommy than for Annie Glenn! She still seems to love her room and her favorite "toy" is looking at the light coming through the blinds by her changing table, although Annie Glenn would rather be outside than anywhere! Josh and I hope that her wants stay this simple for the rest of her life!

We will have another quiet week at home this week with our Sugar Lump. I am glad that I finally have two friends and little boys to visit this week. I have stayed at home about as much as I can...and I am excited to be able to visit with Harris and Gordon's mommies and for Annie Glenn and the boys to have their first "play date"!

Josh and I cannot believe how quickly the past month has passed! Annie Glenn continues to grow and seems to be more beautiful each day. She is very alert, holding up her head, and cooing constantly. She loves to lay in her bed and look at her mobile and is still sleeping 4-6 hours at night. At last weight check she was over 11 1/2 pounds....she is getting rolls everywhere! Josh and I are truly blessed with an angel and cannot believe that she is ours!

The highlight of our week was two surprise visits from our "beach friends" as they passed though Newnan. These visits were so much fun as our visits are limited and usually only happen in July when we are all together in Florida. Annie Glenn will be one of the gang this Summer and we cannot wait! Also, this weekend Annie Glenn's newest friend Gordon was born. Annie Glenn picked out a pretty dress and we headed to the hospital to meet him.

It has been an incredible month full of blessings. Josh and I are blessed with a healthy baby that absolutely brings a joy to our life that we have never experienced before. We cannot wait for the rest of our lives with her!

We can't believe that the weatherman was right....Yesterday it was 65 degrees and today we have at least three inches of snow on the ground!
Everything in Newnan is beautiful and we have enjoyed taking a bundled up Annie Glenn outside for some quick pictures.

Can you believe I am 3 weeks old?!?

Yesterday Annie Glenn turned three weeks old and we can't believe it. It seems like it was just yesterday that we could see our first ultrasound "picture" of Annie Glenn when she was just a small dot on a black and white photo. Although time is flying by, it also seems like she has always been a special part of our family. This week Annie Glenn met new friends and family members and had a extra special visit from her Aunt Alisha and Uncle Wil. Now she has officially met all of her aunts and uncles, and has been spoiled by all of them!

Josh and I have enjoyed our week with Miss Annie Glenn and are starting to feel like normal again. I even vacuumed the house today and took a shower and got dressed without an interruption. Josh has held Annie Glenn for every Kentucky game since she was born and I am convinced that she will be able to spell CATS at a very young age! Also, this week I was able to take Annie Glenn to visit our biggest fans at Elm Street. She met the entire 2nd grade and got to watch them enjoy Popsicles on the playground. This was a real treat for me as I have not seen my class in over three weeks! They were precious around Annie Glenn and made me feel so good...we all decided that I should keep her!

As for my health I am doing physically great and my blood pressure seems to be coming down. This is our first week in the past two months that we have not visited Dr. Ralsten! I will be anxious to see what he will say when we see him again on Wednesday. As far as I know I am doing just wonderfully and am ready for some warmer days so that Annie Glenn and I can start going for some walks.

Annie Glenn is Two Weeks Old!

Annie Glenn is continuing to grow this week and is changing every day. She seems to be doing everything early and is already trying to be independent. She holds her head up to look around and loves balloons. She is also smiling quite a bit and is starting to find her voice and "coo". This week she also went for her first Sunday lunch at Gran and Grandad's and on her first golfcart ride (she will be driving before long)! Annie Glenn is still sleeping well at night and is just waking up once to eat and then is right back down. She is staying awake during the day quite a bit and is going to be a night owl like her Daddy!

I went back to the doctor today and my blood pressure was normal at Dr. Ralsten's office, but still is high at home. Dr. Ralsten does not seem worried and said that he believes it is due to the swelling and fluid that I am loosing since Annie Glenn was born. We go back to see him in two weeks for another check and for my postpartum visit. The best news from our visit today is that I can drive...I am so glad to have this independence back!

As you can tell we are completely in love and think that she is just perfect! We find ourselves just staring at her while she sleeps and I am wondering how life was before she was born. Below are a few pictures from this week.

One week old!

What a blessing Annie Glenn has been this past week. She is calm, relaxed, a great eater, and an even greater sleeper. She was born on Friday morning and we came home early on Sunday afternoon. Since coming home she has been sleeping 5-6 hours at night! We can't believe it! She turned one week old yesterday and is growing like a weed. We have already made two trips to visit Dr. Jackson our pediatrician once for a 'real visit' and once for a weight check. We have a little girl who loves to eat! Annie Glenn's weight has quickly climbed in one week to 9lbs. and 12 oz. I have also been back to the doctor as my blood pressure is still extremely high, despite being on blood pressure medicine, so we will return to visit Dr. Ralsten once a week until it is under control.

Josh and I have also been richly blessed in the past week to have our parents take care of our new family. Our home has never been so clean and we are eating gourmet meals every night. Annie Glenn love visitors so please feel free to come by and visit us...this not driving for two weeks is killing me! Again thank you for your prayers and love as we start our new family together. Over the past week we have been easily reminded that God is good all of the time...what a blessing he has shared with us.

After spending a day in the hospital and a day on bed rest, we finally have the most beautiful daughter in the world! Annie Glenn was born at 7:59 am via C-section to proudest parents you have ever seen! Annie Glenn was born to a brave mommy and a daddy that could hardly contain himself! We are all doing well and plan on leaving the hospital and heading to our home on Monday.

Still waiting...

Yesterday Josh and I had a quite interesting doctors visit. We had another ultrasound scheduled to check Annie Glenn's size, which by the way was 9.3 lbs. and then were supposed to have a regular quick visit with Dr. Ralsten. However things were anything but quick! My blood pressure was high along with my protein levels...which earned us a trip to a hospital room for the rest of the afternoon. We were told originally that we could expect a baby by last night or this morning...but things quickly changed with my blood pressure and protein and they sent us home. So we left the hospital drained from all of the worrying and waiting and headed home. We have a C-section scheduled for Friday morning at 7:30 unless Annie Glenn decides to arrive on her own, due to her size and that she will be 5 days past her due date!

Please pray for the three of us, as we get ready for Friday. I have never broken a bone and yesterday was my first time in a hospital gown...so a major surgery is very scary. We will keep everyone posted about Annie Glenn's arrival.

Hello Due Date...Goodbye Due Date...

Yes, today is supposed to be the big day....but Miss Annie Glenn must take after her momma and likes to be fashionably late or is also like her momma and is too hard headed and doesn't like someone telling her when to do something...I can just imagine her now, thinking "I will make up my own mind about my birthday, thank you very much". Poor Josh if he has to live with two hard headed women!

Yes, it is true, not a sign of a contraction in sight and here we find ourselves at 40 weeks! We go back to the doctor on Wednesday morning for another ultrasound and Annie Glenn update, so we will let everyone know what we find out at hopefully, our last appointment. Keep us in your prayers and if you see us on the road steer clear....I have a feeling that speed limit and traffic signs will mean nothing to our eager Daddy to be!

Don't count on a phone call soon...

Today Josh and I made our weekly trip to see the doctor in Fayetteville, and for the third week in a row heard the phrase "no time soon". Yes, it is true we have made very little progress in a week. We think now we might be 60% effaced, but no dilation. So, we have another appointment and one more ultrasound scheduled for next week! I think that we are going to have a million in utero pictures of Annie Glenn. Dr. Ralsten also said that we can go to 41 weeks without talking about inducing, all based on "sugar lump's" (my daddy's nickname for Annie Glenn) size and the levels of amniotic fluid. Apparently these levels were on the high side when we had the last ultrasound at 36 weeks. So, once again we will keep you all posted if our news changes.

Down to 9 days and still no news...

On Wednesday we went back to the doctor and there was NO PROGRESS....can you believe this? Annie Glenn must love her mommy made home! According to Dr. Cook she is over 8 pounds and may just wait until her due date to arrive. So...Josh and I are just waiting. Everything is packed and ready to head out the door whenever Little Miss Priss decides to join us. We will keep everyone posted and if we have no news, will head to the doctor again on Wednesday afternoon.

Ultrasound Update

Today Josh and I once again traveled to Fayetteville to visit the doctor to learn more about Annie Glenn. We are 37 weeks and 2 days along today which means only 19 days until her due date! Today we learned from the ultrasound and visit that Annie Glenn weighs about 7 1/2 lbs. and that means that if we go 19 more days we are predicted to have an almost 9 lb. bundle of cheeks! I have made very little progress in my area of being ready to have her at just 30 % effaced. We go back to see Dr. Cook again on Wednesday and as he said I will see you in the office not in the delivery room, so we have at least another week to prepare for her arrival.

On Saturday I had one of the nicest showers in my honor and we are completely ready now as far as gear and clothes for Annie Glenn. Josh has been busy since Saturday building the Diaper Champ, placing monitors in just the right spots, and making sure that both cars have car seat bases in them with mirrors at every angle to see Annie Glenn, although for some reason the carrier has remained in his truck :). I have never seen a Daddy so eager to meet his little girl.

Overall, we are both doing well. I have been really trying to stay off my feet, but nesting is getting the best of me and knowing that I only have a limited time left in my classroom with my kids is not making sitting with my feet in a chair easy! We will update again when we have some more news!

Only 25 days to go...

Unfortunately, Mondays visit to the doctors office gave us no clues as to when Annie Glenn will be joining our family, as Dr. Turner said that I am making no progress as far as dilation. This news is fine with us both at just 36 weeks....ask me in a week because I am feeling like I might be more ready! Mondays appointment did allow Dr. Turner to schedule another ultrasound for next Tuesday. We are so excited! The doctors are still thinking that Annie Glenn will be a healthy girl, so we are just going to make one last check on how healthy she is....Josh and I are thrilled to be able to see more pictures of our sweet baby girl.

Over the weekend we also finished our nursery, which looks precious! My aunts truly out did themselves! Today was my first full day back at school with kids and I can already tell that each day will be tougher as my feet and hands are out of control in the swelling department. My class is really sweet about the baby and seem just as excited as we are to meet her.

36 weeks, only 4 more to go!

Happy New Year to everyone! Josh and I have had a wonderful Christmas and beginning to 2009. Christmas was filled with gifts for Annie Glenn this year and we have never been so excited to open gifts! I think that we are almost completely ready. Our nursery is almost ready...all we are lacking is the bumper and curtains, which my great aunts are giving Annie Glenn.

Nesting has definitely begun! Poor Josh, I think that I am driving him crazy. He has gone from having a wife that is messy to one that wants everything in its place, but our house is looking better than ever and is ready to welcome our sweet baby girl. We will keep you all updated as we move closer to our due date of February 1st. I will be going to the doctor every week so we will update the website with the latest information.

New Year's Eve.

33 weeks and counting...

The past few weeks have gone by way too fast! We have recovered from traveling over Thanksgiving, mainly the over eating, and have finally decorated our house for Christmas. We also had our first Baby Shower at Elm Street. I am so blessed to work with such awesome friends. It was really fun to open all of the gifts...I think that Josh was overwhelmed by all of the PINK! Needless to say Annie Glenn will be well dressed and pampered with all of the wonderful gifts she received.

We went back to the doctor and we are both still growing! Annie Glenn's heartbeat was in the 140s and she was doing just great! Also in the past week we took a birthing class which was an experience to say the least! Josh can fill you in on all of the details. The nursery is still coming along slowly. Our furniture finally arrived this week and it finally looks like a baby's room. We will update with better pictures after the weekend picture hanging extravaganza!

31 week update

We made it through two weddings, a doctor visit, turkey day, and a trip to Kentucky in the past week. Needless to say we have been very busy! Dr. Turner says Annie Glenn seems to be growing perfectly. Her heart beat was in the 140s and we are both measuring to be close to our due date, if not before. Also while we were at the doctor she prescribed me some surgical stockings which have taken away all of the little fashion sense I had, along with the absurd swelling of my feet and ankles, which is a blessing.

Josh and I cannot believe that we only have two months until our sweet baby girl will be here...we just hope that the nursery furniture comes in sooner than Annie Glenn does.

Getting Savvy and Creating a Blog...

Well, this is our first attempt to create a Blog...we will see how it goes.

This week we are 28 weeks and counting. It is hard to believe that our little girl will be here in 12 weeks or less! Yesterday we had a doctors appointment and Dr. Ralsten told us to plan on at least an 8 pound baby! The nursery is coming along slowly but surely and will be complete (fingers crossed) by Christmas. My feet have been extremely swollen, so much that if it were still hot outside I would be miserable. I am trying to make myself prop them up at night because 16, 7 year olds don't really allow for much down time during the day. I also have been attempting to watch my sodium...but nothing tastes good with out salt in it. Josh and I will keep you posted on sweet Annie Glenn's growth. We go back to the doctor in two weeks to see what changes she has made. We hope you are all well and feel so blessed to have you sharing in our joy.
